Keisha Schahaff was entering a contest on a Virgin Atlantic flight to the UK to sort out her daughter’s visa. Who would have known she’d win the contest blasting her and her daughter off to space.
Keisha Schahaff and her daughter, Anastasia Mayers are both from Antiqua. Keisha was heading to Scotland to sort out Anastasia’s visa requirements because her daughter was attending Aberdeen University there.
They blast off today, 11 AM Eastern, for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on the Virgin Galactic Spaceplane.
Keisha filled out the sweepstakes entry form after watching a Virgin Galactic advertisement during her flight.
Suddenly, who’s walking into my yard? Richard Branson. The whole team just swarmed into my house saying ‘you’re the winner, you’re going to space’.

Mission: Galactic 02
The flight will be aboard Virgin Galactic’s second commercial tourist flight named, Galactic 02. The first flight reached an altitude of 279, 000 feet. Keisha and Anastasia’s flight is expected to follow the same flight plan as the first.
Seats typically cost $459,000, but Anastasia and her mom will fly gratis. Anastasia is studying philosophy and physics, a dynamite combination, and willbe the second youngest person to fly in space.
Congrats, and godspeed!
